Jimmy engages each assignment with a mind towards achieving his client's goals for the assignment. Jimmy takes his role as an advocate and as a counselor seriously. Jimmy can fight or build bridges, whatever the situation requires, and he is not afraid to advise his clients what they need to hear, even if it is not what they want to hear.

Jimmy has a broad-based practice. He enjoys trying cases and has tried numerous cases to verdict, involving claims for personal injury, property damage, trade secrets, breach of contract and bad faith. He was selected by his peers to serve as faculty member for the 50th anniversary faculty of the IADC Trial Academy. In addition to his trial practice, he has argued before the Louisiana Supreme Court and United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as other state appellate courts.

Outside of traditional litigation, Jimmy also serves as a legislature counselor to a client, providing legislative committee testimony and drafting proposed legislation in support of his client's legislative agenda. Jimmy also has led pre-suit investigations requiring interaction with regulatory authorities, opposing and supporting experts and potentially impacted second and third parties.
