  • Successfully defended company at preliminary injunction hearing seeking to enjoin competition in geographic market.
  • Obtained summary judgment on improper use of corporate voting procedures to protect minority shareholders.
  • Lead counsel defending a class action with over 14,000 claimants asserting violations of La. R.S. 22:1892.
  • Lead counsel defending a class action asserting a corporation allegedly failed to pay overtime wages.
  • Obtained dismissal of alleged breach of contract claim where contract for rooms for the Super Bowl was never formed.  
  • Breach of contract claim regarding roofing on hotel which held that issue of waiver of contractual arbitration agreement was to be decided by arbitrators.  
  • Obtained defense (zero) verdict at trial in favor of investor sued in connection with sale of water company based on allegation that it agreed to indemnify seller's debts.    
  • Obtained dismissal of all alleged price fixing, group boycott and tortious interference with contracts for domestic insurer in a Multi District Litigation action involving claims of dozens of automobile repair shops against several insurers.
  • Summary judgment affirmed on appeal in favor of gas transmission company for commercial claims arising out of hurricane damaged pipeline.  
  • Motion to Dismiss under FRCP 12(b)(6) and granted to conclude qui tam action under False Claims Act, 31 U.S.C. 3729 et seq against insurance companies accused of fraud in inflating claims under flood-insurance policies while reducing claims paid on privately backed wind-insurance claims.
